City Watching Tour for Foreign Residents:
Join us for an excursion to
Mito botanical park and
Kobayashi Farm!
もうすぐ春です。
水戸市植物公園で、咲き始めた春の花を見ながら散策を楽しみましょう。
そして植物公園に近い、Kobayashi Farmを訪問します。今ではあまり見られなくなった原木でのしいたけ栽培をしています。その栽培について学んで、自分で原木からしいたけを獲ってみましょう。私たちがいつも食べている人工の菌床しいたけとは、味も食感もまったく違う美味しさです。
Spring is almost here.
Enjoy a walk through Mito Botanical Park and see the spring flowers that have just started to bloom.
We’ll also visit Kobayashi Farm, located near the Botanical Park. Here, they grow shiitake mushrooms on logs. Learn how to grow shiitake mushrooms and try harvesting them from logs yourself. These mushrooms taste and feel completely different from the artificially grown shiitake mushrooms we’re used to eating.

＜当日のスケジュール＞
◆バスに乗って行く人
10:20 水戸市国際交流センターに集まります
10:49 「泉町1丁目」のバス停からバスに乗ります
11:05 「小吹西」のバス停でバスを下ります（450円）
11:15 KOBAYASHI FARM ～ 12:15
・原木しいたけの育て方を学びます
・原木しいたけを自分で獲ります
12:30 水戸市植物公園に着きます
ランチタイム ～ 1:15
1:15 ガイドツアー と自由時間
3:20 植物公園の正門に集まります。歩いて「小吹神社前」のバス停に行きます（15分歩きます）
3:43 「 小吹神社前」からバスに乗ります。 バスは大工町、泉町を通って水戸駅（北口）行きですが、バスをどこでおりてもいいです。
※ 2:34に植物公園に近いバス停からバスに乗って帰ることもできます。

10:20 Meet at the Mito City International Center
10:49 Take the bus at the “Izumicho 1-chome” bus stop
11:05 Get off at the “Kobuki-nishi” bus stop (450 yen)
11:15 KOBAYASHI FARM ~ 12:15
・Learn how to grow shiitake mushrooms on logs
・Try your hand at harvesting log-grown shiitake mushrooms!
12:30 Arrive at Mito Botanical Park. Lunch ~ 1:15 PM
1:15 Guided tour and Free time
3:20 Meet at the main gate of the Botanical Park. Walk to the “Kobuki Jinja-mae” bus stop (15-minute walk)
3:43 Take the bus from “Kobuki Jinja-mae”. The bus passes through Daikumachi and Izumicho and heads to Mito Station (North Exit), but you can get off anywhere.
※You can also return home by bus from the bus stop near the Botanical Park at 2:34 PM.
◆People who go by their own car
Meet in the parking lot of Mito Botanical Park at 11:00AM.
お昼ごはん（ランチ）について
水戸市植物公園のレストラン「フィオレンテ」のお弁当を注文できます。3月4日（水）までに申し込んでください。1000円です。植物公園の近くに飲食店やコンビニはありません。お弁当を注文しない参加者は、各自、お昼ごはんを持ってきてください。
Luch Information
You can order a bento box from the restaurant “Fiorente” at Mito Botanical Park. Please apply by March 4th. The cost is 1,000 yen.
There are no restaurants or convenience stores near the park. Participants who do not order bento boxes should bring your own lunch.
