鮎は日本を代表する川魚です。しかし産卵のため川の河口まで川を下って、そこで生まれた鮎は海に出て、そこで育って春に川を遡ります。そして夏の終わりから、また産卵のために川を下流まで泳いでいきます。そのときの鮎を「下り鮎」といいます。その鮎を「やな」で獲ります。鮎には可哀そうですが、この鮎は肉厚で,とても美味しく食べることができます。
水戸を流れる那珂川は日本で鮎が一番多く獲れる川です。自然に川を上ってくる鮎も日本で二番目に多い川です。
その那珂川の上流、栃木県の茂木町にある「大瀬やな」は、日本の「やな場」の中で一番大きいです。
このツアーでは、その「大瀬やな」を訪れます。

当日のスケジュール
9：45am 合（水戸市国際交流センター）
水戸京成デパートの近くまで歩いてチャーターバスに乗ります
10：00am 出発 途中トイレ休憩あり
11：30am 大瀬やな到着 やな見学 昼食（テイクアウト）
1：30pm 瀬やな 出発
途中、道の駅かつら（常陸大宮市）に寄ります。美味しいスイーツなど食べられます。
3：30p 水戸市国際交流センター着、解散
料金： 1,000円（ツアー料金） 昼食は自分でお金を払います
定員： 20名 外国人市民の方の参加を優先します

Japanese Culture Tour for foreign residents
Let’ｓ Enjoy “Ayu” sweetfish Weir in Naka River!
“Ayu” (sweetfish) is a fish that lives in rivers and also a river fish representative of Japan. However, Ayu go down the river to the river mouth to lay their eggs. Ayu that are born there once go out to sea, where they grow up and swim upstream along rivers in the spring. Late summer, they swim downstream again to spawn. The sweetfish caught by Yana at that time are called “kudari-ayu” (downstream ayu). Sorry for the sweetfish, but this sweetfish is very thick and tasty so much.
Naka River flowing in Mito is the river where the largest number of sweetfish can be caught in Japan. It is also the second largest river in Japan in terms of the number of sweetfish that naturally flow up the river.
“Ose Yana” of Naka River upperstream in Motegi Town, Tochigi Prefecture is the argest “Yana place” in Japan. We are going to visit Ose Yana in this tour.

We stop by Roadside Station Katsura (Hitachi Omiya City)
You can eat delicious sweets.
3:30pm Arrive at Mito International Center and Disperse
