In the Tohoku region, autumn is the season for imoni-kai, which uses plenty of Satoimo (Japanese taro). Imonikai event that is not well known in the Kanto region, but at Yamagata-juku (Hitachiomiya City), they make “imoni” in the Kanto region’s biggest pot with a diameter of 3.5 meters and serve it on the banks of the Kuji River. This year’s the 26th Imonikai is the first time in four years after the coronavirus pandemic. You can enjoy delicious hot pot dishes made with Okukuji Shamo meat and local vegetables in the midst of nature.

Fukuroda Falls also has beautiful autumn leaves. Despite this year’s record-setting hottest summer, let’s fully enjoy autumn in the northern mountains of Ibaraki Prefecture.

Capacity: 40people maximum (first come, first served)

Japanese citizens are also welcome.

Fee: 2,000yen (Include 1 Imoni Bowl, Fukuroda Falls entrance fee, chartered Bus and Domestic travel insurance fee)

Registration: Please sign up settle the payment at the Mito International Center from 9am on Oct 18 to 5pm on Nov 15.
